Dave Weakley 1998 Chevy S10
Hot,Hot,Hot….the first of July in Lexington KY,but the intense heat didn’t
Detour any of the diehard younger crowd from this years Midwest Mayhem Car Show at Masterson Station Park, promoted an sponsored by Lucky’s Auto Sports of Lexington. An I don’t believe Dave Weakley of Berea,KY minds the heat at all…as a matter of fact nothing slows him or his 98 S10 or “Super Ten” as he likes to call this little truck down.
Dave an Super Ten have logged over 210,000 miles since he bought this little truck new in 1998,a great word to describe Dave is perseverance a very important character trait to have when building a customized car or truck. After doing a dozen set of wheels a static drop, four different interiors an finally a Air Ride Suspension Dave decided on the killer paint job you see here, along with a raised stock bed floor an a set of Billet Specialities Fast Lane Wheels 18×8 for the front an a huge set of 20×10’s out back.I for one would like to see what Dave could do with some early tin…for him building a Street Rod has been a thought, but would have to be a early Chevy coupe.
Dave an his wife Lindsay have been married 10 years an in those last ten years of marriage they have seen things change an stay the same, but with each year is something new…that’s what keeps marriage fresh an alive just like his little S10 constantly changing ever staying new an fresh.I think Dave knows that life isn’t about how much you have or buying the latest an greatest new thing, but standing firm an growing with what he currently has!
A life lesson for us all.Your on your way Dave…God Bless!!
